    Vintage Amplitude Modulation

Our simulation emulates the classic photocell and bias-modulating guitar amp tremolos, using a configurable LFO to smoothly raise and lower volume.

How to use the Tremolo pedal?

1 . Select an input source (Test Tone, Mic Input, or Upload an Audio File).
2 . Select a waveform (Sine, Triangle, Square, or Sawtooth) using the selector.
3 . Adjust the Rate and Depth knobs to change the modulation speed and pulse intensity.
4 . Click the footswitch to engage the tremolo and watch the lamp and scope pulse.
5 . Click 'Stop' or deselect the active source to pause the output audio.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is a tremolo effect?

Tremolo is a modulation effect that rapidly and rhythmically varies the volume of an audio signal. It mimics the classic tremolo circuits found in vintage tube guitar amplifiers.

What is the difference between tremolo and vibrato?

While often confused (even by classic guitar brands like Fender), tremolo is amplitude modulation (rapidly changing volume), whereas vibrato is frequency modulation (rapidly changing pitch).

What controls does this Tremolo pedal offer?

Rate controls the LFO oscillation speed (how fast the volume pulses); Depth adjusts the range of the modulation (how dramatic the volume dip is); Waveform chooses the shape of the volume envelope curve.
